Bob and Kate Emerson to Garrison Fort Roberdeau Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm   Bob and Kate Emerson, reenactors and living history interpreters of the American Revolution for over 40 years, will garrison Fort Roberdeau the weekend of October 23-24.   Bob, Executive Director of Old Fort Niagara, grew up in Blair County and is a great storyteller who shares local history from the heart. Fresh out of college in 1977, Emerson started working at Fort Roberdeau as a tour guide providing guided tours and musket demonstrations for visitors. In 1979, Bob and some friends formed Cluggage’s Ranging Company, a living history group dedicated to portraying the lives of those soldiers who occupied Fort Roberdeau during the Revolutionary War. The first battle reenactment in 1980 evolved into Fort Roberdeau’s annual Revolutionary War Days event. Bob serves as event coordinator to this day.   Kate, a Certified Public Historian, first came to Fort Roberdeau for a battle reenactment in 1980 with the 60th Regiment of Foot out of Fort Pitt. She has been a curator and educator of early American life and 18th century clothing and hearth cooking.   Last Chance to experience Bob and Kate’s extraordinary storytelling and wealth of knowledge in 2021.  Fort tour season concludes October 31.    Admission: $6/adult, $5/senior, $3/children under age12
