Joe Walsh 11/16/22

Joe Walsh says he wants to extend the James Gang reunion, citing words from late Eagles bandmate Glen Frey.

After playing at a Taylor Hawkins tribute show, he was asked if this would be their final concert and he told Billboard, “Glenn Frey used to say, ‘Never say never,’ so I’m not.”

He and bandmates, bassist Dale Peters and drummer Jimmy Fox delivered short sets together in September in what almost seemed to be a trial run for the James Gang. Walsh said, “ We played the concerts for Taylor Hawkins and it worked really good. We got in front of an audience and we were able to do what we used to do.

He didn’t say when, but he did say that he “can’t wait to play again.”

TL;DR:

  • Joe Walsh says he wants to extend the James Gang reunion, citing words from late Eagles bandmate Glen Frey.
  • “Glenn Frey used to say, ‘Never say never,’ so I’m not.”
