An Altoona man is in jail for allegedly assaulting two men and having a stolen firearm in his possession. WTAJ TV reports 21 year old Aaron Menegay has been charged with assaulting two men on Saturday outside of Nittany Point apartments. Police arrested Menegay and another male at the Sheetz along 25th Avenue.

According to court documents, police found a loaded handgun in Menegay’s  pant leg. Police found out it was a stolen weapon. Police also said Menegay did not have a valid concealed carry permit. Menegay is being held in Blair County Prison after failing to post $35,000 bail. He’s been charged with receiving stolen property, two simple assault charges, carrying a firearm without a license and harassment. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct 6.

The Powerball lottery jackpot continues to grow.  The multi-state lottery has gone nearly 3 months without a top-prize winner bringing tonight’s estimated jackpot to 285-million dollars.  Pennsylvania players will learn at 11 o’clock tonight if they’ve become millionaires.

The Blair County DUI Task Force has released their report from their roving DUI Patrol held on Friday Sept 23rd.

The task force handed out 54 Warnings issued for vehicle violations made 1 DUI arrest , 2 Misdemeanor arrests  and 1 Felony arrest .  The Blair County DUI Task Force reminds drivers that Friends don’t let friends drive impaired!

Fetterman Calls Doctor Oz “Unfit To Serve”. Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman is continuing campaign efforts in his bid for U.S. Senate.  Around one-thousand people gathered for a rally in Bethlehem Saturday.  Fetterman criticized Republican challenger, Doctor Mehmet Oz, calling him “unfit to serve” for allegedly making light of the lieutenant governor’s recent stroke.  Oz and his campaign leaders have made similar comments about Fetterman, continually calling his health into question since the primary nominations.
