A woman went missing over the weekend in Blair County and has yet to be found. Kimberly Iris Meyers of Martinsburg, last made contact with her family on Aug. 20. She is described as 5’04” and approximately 250 pounds. She is driving a white 2000 Lexus RX with a Pennsylvania registration LHE3871, according to WTAJ. Anyone with information is urged to contact Pennsylvania State Police in Hollidaysburg at 814-696-6100.

A call for a welfare check involving a child resulted in one man in jail after he reportedly punched an officer on Friday. Richard Norton was charged with a felony count of assaulting a law enforcement officer as well as minor counts of simple assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He also faces summary charges, including harassment and public drunkenness. Norton is lodged in Cambria County Prison.

Hollidaysburg is still alive at the Little League World Series in Williamsport.  The Mid-Atlantic representative beat Massapequa Coast, seven-one. Hollidaysburg will play again this afternoon. The game will be played at 3 o’clock.

 A Philipsburg man accused of stabbing and killing another man is claiming he had no choice but to stab him as the man was punching him in the face. Fernando Rosado-Guzman was taken into custody after the stabbing on Friday and claimed he was being attacked by Brian Lyncha. Rosado-Guzman now faces criminal homicide charges and had bail denied. He’s currently in Centre County Prison.

Democrats hold slight leads in two high-profile races in Pennsylvania. Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman has a five-point lead over Republican doctor Mehmet Oz in the race to replace retiring Senator Pat Toomey in the U.S. Senate.  The same poll says Attorney General Josh Shapiro has about a four-point lead over state Senator Doug Mastriano in the race for the governor’s office.  The mid-term election is set for Tuesday, November 8th. 

The average price for a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania is currently four dollars and 20 cents, while the national average is three dollars and 89 cents.
