A section of roadway was closed in Altoona after a crash Wednesday morning. Two vehicles crashed on Route 764 southbound and one person has been transported from the scene, according to non-emergency dispatch. The crash is under investigation.
A traffic stop turned into a possible DUI after the driver was reportedly driving nude when pulled over. Troopers reported that they stopped a Ford F-150 on Route 219, just south of Brandy Camp Road in Horton Township committing multiple traffic violations. The driver, Russell Mowrey, was pulled over and found to be naked behind the wheel. Charges are currently pending the toxicology report.
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz says his Democratic opponent should explain his radical policies to Pennsylvanians. Dr. Oz challenged Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman to five debates today. Oz says Fetterman’s policies would free one-third of the state’s prisoners and cripple energy production.
A Clearfield County man is facing charges after police said he smashed a window of a car and was found in the trunk. James Wise Jr. told police that he owned the car and that he broke the window out to get the spare key because it was locked, however, when police ran the registration they found out that he was not the owner. Wise is currently lodged in Clearfield County Prison.
The Pennsylvania Department of Aging is launching an investigative unit that will guard against older adults being scammed. Secretary of Aging Robert Torres says the team will help area Agencies on Aging investigate financial abuse cases and obtain justice for victims.
