State police are investigating after guns and money were reported stolen from a camp in Ridgway. The burglary happened sometime between April 16 and June 10 on Montmorenci Road. Unknown actor(s) entered the camp and fled with three guns and $200 in coins. Anyone with information can call Pennsylvania State Police out of Ridgway at 814-776-6136.

The Pennsylvania Senate is advancing two competing plans to slash the state’s corporate net income tax rate. The bills passed Wednesday in twin votes in the Republican-controlled chamber. In April, the state house had passed a separate plan. Pennsylvania’s nine-point-99 percent tax rate is considered one of the highest in the country.

Gas prices are inching back from their all-time high, but not much. The national average price for regular is an even five dollars a gallon, while in Pennsylvania, the average price is five dollars and 4 cents.

A Curwensville man was killed after crashing his Honda Goldwing motorcycle in Ferguson Township. The crash happened on June 8, just before 5:30 p.m. Edward Kephart was traveling on a Goldwing when he lost control for an unknown reason. Kephart was not wearing a helmet at the time.

Crews are on the scene of a house fire in Hollidaysburg. The fire was reported at a home along Jackson Street and it is currently unknown if anyone was injured. Details are still limited at this time.

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mehmet Oz is slamming his opponent in November’s election. Oz said Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman wants to spend trillions of dollars on far left social policies that won’t help the country.  He added that the federal government needs to stop vilifying the energy industry in this country.
