State police in Centre County have released new details about what led to Wednesday’s shooting at a residence in Worth Township. Troopers say Kyle Hockenberry faces charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and making terroristic threats.
State health officials say the total number of new COVID cases this past week is down about 20 percent from the number reported the previous week. There were nearly 30-thousand new cases reported between May 18th and May 24th. The State Department of Health data from May 25th also shows hospitalizations are up about 15 percent.
State police are investigating after someone reportedly broke into a church through a basement window and then made coffee and hot chocolate before leaving. Crews were called to the scene of a crash that saw one of the vehicles crash into a home Thursday morning, June 2. Fire departments were first on the scene just after 9 a.m. at Woodbury Pike and Cross Cove Road in Taylor Township where they confirmed damage and entrapment. There’s no word at this time about how the crash happened or the extent of any injuries.
The Centre County Mosquito Disease Control (MDC) Program announced they will be performing a mosquito control spraying today. The mosquito control spraying is planned for Patton Township late Friday evening. The spraying will be a truck-mounted, ultra-low volume of mosquito control. If weather conditions do not corporate, the spraying will be postponed until early next week.
