Police are searching for two prisoners that say walked away during work release in Clearfield Monday. Prisoners Robert Lee Miller Jr. and Donald J. White were last seen near Kurtz Brothers along Daisy Street Extension at 12:15 p.m. The two are reportedly wearing white t-shirts and white boxer type shorts after police say they removed their black and white striped prison clothing. Anyone with information or who see’s the two inmates is asked to not approach them and call 911.

Police are currently investigating a stabbing at Logan Hills apartment complex in Altoona. Altoona police say the stabbing happened Monday morning, sending the victim to the hospital. Details are limited at this time, but an active investigation is underway.

Gas prices are continuing to climb in the region and are close to breaking all-time records. The average price for a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania is four-dollars and 76-cents. The average price of diesel in Pennsylvania has dropped down a bit, however. It’s now at six-dollars and 23 cents per gallon.  

The Blair County DUI Task Force revealed their results from DUI patrols. On Friday, roving DUI patrols made officers presence known in the Blair County area. Two people were arrested for DUI the results along with the following: 99 Individual contacts, 57 Warnings issued for vehicle violations, 13 Citations issued for vehicle violations, and 1 Arrest warrant served.

An investigation is underway after police say that a child died after being taken to the hospital for a choking hazard. State troopers responded to a call to a home on First Street in Everett on May 28 for a report of a child that was taken to UPMC Bedford for a choking hazard. The child was later taken to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh for advanced treatment. The child died the next day. The investigation is ongoing.
