A Dubois man is facing charges after allegedly threatening to kill his wife at a local gym the day after an emergency PFA expired. Kevin Alexander Kear was taken into custody and is facing stalking, disorderly conduct and harassment charges. He was placed in Clearfield County Prison on $50,000 bail.

The deaths of an elderly couple in Greenfield Township on Tuesday were a homicide-suicide. Orville W. Smith Jr. and Wanda Lee Smith were found dead Tuesday morning at their home Polecat Hollow Road in Greenfield Township. Blair County Coroner Patty Ross said the deaths were a homicide-suicide. She said both were well-known in the community and both were struggling with health-related issues.

The annual Memorial Day seat belt enforcement campaign is now underway in Pennsylvania. The Department of Transportation and its law enforcement partners are reminding motorists to buckle up in connection with the “Click It or Ticket” Seat Belt Enforcement Mobilization. It started last Monday and runs through June 5th.

A Centre County man who was in prison after pleading guilty to hitting and killing a pedestrian in Bellefonte in 2021 was released only to be locked up days later for driving under the influence. Brandon Deitz was placed back into Centre County Corrections facility after having his bail denied for DUI charges.

State police are investigating after a truck was stolen in April from a residence in Bedford County. A 2002 black Ford F-150 was stolen from a house on Main Road in Colerain Township. The truck is described to have some damage on the passenger side front windshield. State police released the license plate number from the stolen truck as ZLN8860. A second shipment of baby formula is now in Pennsylvania.  It was flown in from Germany to help ease the nationwide shortage.  Officials say it will be sent to hospitals, WIC programs and retailers as soon as this weekend.
