A man already facing charges for two burglaries in Centre County is being hit with even more charges. Tre Estes-Stalnos currently faces charges after an armed robbery at a motel in Centre County on Jan. 8 and a December burglary of a Rite Aid on South Atherton where he made off with more than $4,500 worth of drugs.

Altoona police responded to a domestic call and found a woman at Sheetz saying her fiancé tried to strangle her after she went grocery shopping. Anthony Costanza is facing charges after police arrived at Sheetz on May 10 at around 7 p.m. to find the woman with a red neck and a dried ring of blood around her nose. Costanza is facing charges of strangulation, simple assault and harassment.

PennDOT officials say traffic deaths increased by nine percent last year. There were 12-hundred-30 deaths due to driving statewide in 2020.   PennDOT Secretary Yassmin Gramian says crashes involving lane departure incidents accounted for nearly half of highway fatalities. She adds that speeding, impaired, and distracted driving are leading factors in lane departure crashes.

State Police are searching for two people in a Walmart theft investigation in Somerset.

Police say two females walked into Walmart on Tuesday, May 10 at around 3:30 p.m. They reportedly stole merchandise with a value of $580.48 and fled. They drove off in a maroon Pontiac Grand Prix. Anyone with information is asked to call the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers Toll-Free at 1-800-4PA-TIPS (8477).

A Clearfield County man will be spending time in state prison for multiple offenses including allowing his children to smoke marijuana. Robert Keith Foster Jr. pleaded guilty Monday to felony endangering the welfare of children and misdemeanor corruption of minors. His total sentence is 12 months to 10 years in state prison.

The average for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Pennsylvania is currently four dollars and 57 cents. The national average is four dollars and 41 cents.
