A man is facing charges of child sex crimes after an alleged assault at a city homeless shelter. Police reviewed surveillance video that showed Leo Johnny Ortega engaging in inappropriate contact with an 8-year-old boy. Officials say the contact was sexual in nature and enough to issue an arrest warrant against Ortega. He is being held at the Lycoming County Prison.

One person was sent to the hospital following a water rescue at Colyer Lake in Centre County on April 12. The person was treated on the scene and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries Tuesday evening. Their identity has not been released at this time. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is investigating the situation.

Pennsylvania State Senator Jake Corman is remaining as a candidate for governor after hinting earlier that he might pull out.  The change of heart for Corman reportedly came after he spoke to former President Trump Tuesday, who encouraged him not to leave the race.  Corman had finished fifth in a recent poll of nine Republican candidates.

A Johnstown man has pleaded guilty in federal court to distributing narcotics in 2019. In connection to the guilty plea, in August of 2019, it’s reported that Jones did distribute a quantity of a mixture and substance that contained a detectable amount of cocaine base. A duo was charged after a drug bust in Johnstown Tuesday that included the Cambria County Drug Task Force. Police found Jasaan Edward Nash and Shianne Marie Kelley inside their home, and both were taken into custody without incident. Agents and police found two firearms, 550 grams of marijuana and 24.4 grams of crack cocaine, and $3,273 in cash was also found in the home along with various items for packaging and distribution.

Police say a Clearfield man who was wanted for sexually assaulting a child while she slept was apprehended in Sandy Township Tuesday. Michael Guy faces various charges related to the aggravated indecent assault of a child following an incident last week. Guy has since been arraigned to the Clearfield County Prison, and his bail was denied.
