Blair County DUI Task Force officers will be taking to area roads in Blair County for the third time this year. The task force will be making themselves known through check points, roving patrols and/or mobile awareness in an effort to make roadways safer ahead of the Easter holiday weekend. The task force also reminds drivers to wear seatbelts, move over for emergency vehicles, allow enough driving time to avoid being rushed and know if your prescription medication affects your ability to drive.

An Altoona woman is behind bars after allegedly assaulting someone in her home, leading the victim to barricade themselves in a bedroom with two kids. Colleen Michelle Quigley was arraigned on endangering the welfare of children, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and harassment charges. She’s currently behind bars at Blair County Prison.

Police in Lawrence Township are searching for a man accused of sexually assaulting a child. Charges are pending for Michael Guy, 58 after he allegedly touched a child inappropriately. Guy is 5’0″ and 140 pounds with black hair and hazel eyes. Anyone with information on Guy’s whereabouts should contact the Lawrence Township Police Department at (814) 765-1647.

A Huntingdon County man is facing more than 40 counts of child pornography after three image uploads triggered a company to alert law enforcement. Anthony Bookhammer is facing felony charges after Synchronoss Technologies, a cloud and messaging tech company, alerted the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children who then alerted law enforcement in PA. Approximately 42 photos of child porn were found on his phone.

A Windber woman is facing charges after allegedly threatening to kill a man with her pocketknife. The man had a restraining order on Nichole Mitchell and repeatedly asked her to leave only for her to go up the stairs and threaten him with a pocketknife. While trying to force herself up the stairs to the apartment, the man told police she said “I’ll f***ing kill you” just before he was able to get the knife from her. Mitchell was placed in Somerset County Prison.
