A Huntingdon County man is dead after an altercation led to him being shot Sunday evening. Timothy Skipper was pronounced dead from gunshot wounds after an altercation that took place April 3 at around 7:30 p.m. at a home along Campbell Circle in Clay Township. Police said the known suspect got into an altercation with Skipper before Skipper was shot and eventually died from the injury.

State Police are searching for the culprit that stole a Skills game redemption center from a Centre County hotel only to steal the money from it before setting it on fire and leaving it in the Snow Shoe area. Troopers out of PSP Rockview were called to the Estya Hotel after a black Skills game redemption center went missing sometime from Feb.12 to Feb. 13. Anyone with information is asked to call PSP Rockview at 814-355-7545.

 Gas continue to drop, at least for the time being. The statewide average is at four dollars and 26 cents, while the national average is 4 dollars and 17 cents.

A woman was charged after investigators were told she had been assaulting her 14-year-old daughter for over a year. The daughter told investigators that her mother, Melissa Hawk hit her multiple times with a spatula on her face, hands and top of her head. She added that Hawk also choked her to the point she felt like she was going to pass out. Hawk faces strangulation, endangering the welfare of children, simple assault and harassment charges.

Police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened in Johnstown’s West End Monday night. Emergency officials responded to a home on Dorothy Ave. around 10:40 p.m. They say the victim was found inside. No further details at this time.

Authorities have charged a Centre County man with sexual assault after a park ranger allegedly found him having sex with an underage teen at Bald Eagle State Park. Investigators say the driver was identified as Nathan Pecht and the passenger was a 15-year-old juvenile female. Pecht told park rangers that he was unaware that the victim was under the age of 16. Pecht is being housed at the Centre County Correctional Facility.
