Paul Stanley 3/17/22

Paul Stanley has named Led Zeppelin‘s Robert Plant “The Best Lead Singer Of All Time.” The Kiss frontman Tweeted: “The Best Lead Singers Of All Time?? How about 11 off the top of my head…”

His list of the Top 11 best vocalists put Plant at Number One, Small Faces and Humble Pie‘s Steve Marriott coming in at Number Two, with Queen‘s Freddie Mercury rounding out the Top Three.

Paul Stanley, and unapologetic die-hard Zeppelin fan since the beginning, recalled his first time catching the band back in the day in Queens, New York: [“I saw Led Zeppelin play for under 2,000 people — probably in ’68. The New York State Pavilion, which was at the World’s Fair in New York. It’s as close to a religious experience as I would count on one hand.”] SOUNDCUE (:12 OC: . . . on one hand)
