Police in Clearfield are searching for a man wanted for assault stemming from an incident that occurred in February. Cody Brown of Clearfield is wanted for simple assault and other related charges from an incident that happened at Daisy Street on Feb. 25. Anyone with information regarding Brown’s whereabouts is asked to contact Clearfield Borough Police Department at (814)-765-7819.

A car lost control and crashed into the side of a house Friday evening in Altoona however, no injuries were sustained. The driver of a Toyota sedan lost control and went into the side of a home located on Leslie Avenue at about 6:30 p.m. There are no details yet about how the driver lost control of the car or how much damage was done to the home.

State police are investigating after a water tower in Elk County was struck by a bullet on March 2. State police responded to a report of criminal mischief a little after 2 p.m. After arriving to a water tower located on Gardner Hill Road in Jay Township police said it was hit by a bullet, causing the tank to leak. A Bedford woman was taken into custody following a standoff with state police on Saturday. Catherine Ann Imler broke into a residence on Lafayette Rd. and stole a shotgun before returning to her residence with the shotgun in hand. Troopers attempted unsuccessfully to get Imler out of her residence before establishing a perimeter and requesting the Pennsylvania State Police Emergency Response Team respond to the scene. Imler was taken into custody with self-inflicted sword wounds and transported to UPMC Altoona for treatment.

Crews worked to extinguish a house fire that broke out Saturday afternoon in Blair County. The Duncansville Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a dwelling fire located in the area of 16th Street at 12:46 p.m. The house did sustain damage from the smoke. No injuries were sustained from the fire.

State police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that caused heavy damage to a utility pole in Centre County. the utility pole was knocked off from its support and was in a hazardous condition. Penelec was then also called to the scene. State police said that the vehicle had to have been a commercial motor vehicle with a truck and trailer, or a large sized box truck.
