A Gallitzin man faces charges after police say he sexually abused a teenage girl over several months. The incidents occurred between May 2021 and November 2021 when Kevin Lee inappropriately touched the teen who was under the age of 16 and living with him at the time. Lee had reportedly touched her numerous times while hugging her and pulling her onto his lap. He was also alleged to have said sexually inappropriate statements and shown her pornography on his iPhone. The teen spoke about an incident where Lee entered her bedroom while she was pretending to be asleep and he touched her under her clothing.

An Elk County man was arrested after police responded to a domestic dispute and discovered he pointed a gun at a woman. Through investigation, it was discovered that Mario Sidelinger pointed a gun at a woman in the home. Sidelinger was taken into custody and placed in Elk County Prison.

Gasoline prices edged upward last week. In Pennsylvania, the current average is three dollars and 52 cents for a gallon of regular unleaded. A month ago, that was up by four cents.

A man is facing charges after troopers say he got into an argument with a woman over a mattress before stealing her truck and being arrested by Altoona police. Troopers were called to a home in Beccaria Township for a report of a domestic dispute. Howard Hugar had allegedly gotten into an argument with a woman over a mattress before striking her and then stealing her vehicle. Hugar was later found by Altoona police in the woman’s Ford F-150.

Two men are facing charges after reportedly being caught in the process of trying to steal a catalytic converter last month in Huntingdon County. Shane Rickabaugh and Travis Sloas tried to cut the converter off of a BMW. Neither man was able to get the converter but did cause $2,000 worth of damage to the car, according to WTAJ.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health reports shows 857 new cases of COVID-19 in our central region since Monday, bringing our total to 143,277 known cases.
