Two Twins Were Born 15 Minutes Apart Last Week, but in Different Years

A woman in central California named Fatima Madrigal gave birth to twins over the weekend, about 15 minutes apart . . . but in different YEARS.

Her son Alfredo was born at 11:45 P.M. on Friday.  Then his sister Aylin was born at exactly midnight, just seconds into 2022.  The hospital posted a photo of them online, and they’re doing great.

We’ve seen this happen before, but the odds are still pretty crazy . . . around a one-in-two million chance of delivering twins in different years.  (There was even a set of twins near Boston born in different millenniums.  One in 2000, and one in 2001.)
