30 Years Later The Kentucky Headhunters Are Making Their Opry Debut, and They Still Haven’t Cut Their Hair

You may not be familiar with THE KENTUCKY HEADHUNTERS, but you’re going to love this story.  30 years ago they were invited to make their Grand Ole Opry debut, and even though it would be a career boost, they said no.

Opry honcho Roy Acuff said they had to get haircuts before performing, and they drew a line in the sand on that.  And they stuck to their guns until . . . THIS Saturday.  Best part?  They won the battle.

Singer RICHARD YOUNG says, “It’s a new milestone in our career that we never thought would happen.  We are so looking forward to our first appearance on the Opry stage in 30 years.  We still got our hair, too.  Well, most of it.”

Here’s another reason to love these guys.  They recorded their first Christmas song, and it’s totally on-brand.  It’s called “Let’s All Get Together and Fight”, and it’s inspired by the family arguments they ALWAYS have at the holidays.
