The State Department of Health yesterday confirmed 994 additional cases of COVID-19 bringing the total to 97,665 with 26 new deaths totaling 6,957. The total number of cases in Blair County stands at 102 confirmed and 11 probable with one death.
If and when there is a COVID-19 vaccine Blair County could be a hub for mass inoculations.
Altoona Police have two persons in custody for a double murder that took place in late May in a Beale Avenue Apartment.
