The State Department of Health is reporting 1,079 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday with the state total now at 52,915 and the total of deaths at 3,416. The number of confirmed cases in Blair County rose by three to 28 with no deaths.

Despite reports that many Western P-A counties will be announced today as moving into Governor Tom Wolf’s yellow reopening phase, yesterday he said all red counties will remain that way until June 4th.

The Mayor and City Council will hold a special tele-conference meeting tonight to deal with enforcement of businesses opening.

That Voices of Blair County signed billboard is making its way to the state capitol today.

Four Western Pennsylvania counties have joined forces and are filing a lawsuit against Wolf’s re-opening plans.

The U-S Supreme Court handed Governor Wolf a big victory yesterday, refusing to hear a case dealing with his state shutdown order.

Governor Wolf has signed an executive order that forbids foreclosures and evictions through July 10th.

The Governor is granting doctors and healthcare workers civil immunity against malpractice actions from care provided to COVID-19 patients.

The State House approved a bill that would eliminate state and local tax from those stimulus payments.
