Green Day has seen a huge spike in their YouTube views over the last month. It seems to be a trend for artists that put the name of a month, in the title of their song. On September 30, “Wake Me Up When September Ends” picked up more than 395,000 views on YouTube in just that single day.
Over-all, the track has garnered over 151 million total views since being uploaded ten years ago. That’s basically 15 million views each year.
Green Day will be releasing a new album in February of next year and launching a North American tour in March with Fall Out Boy and Weezer.
