Scott Weiland’s Widow 8/7/19

The widow of late Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland will not be able to collect the money she has claimed her husband owed her before he passed away in December 2015. Jamie Wachtel Weiland filed a claim against Scott’s estate more than three years ago, saying she was owed $64,406.

Jamie said that she and Scott signed a prenuptial agreement before their 2013 wedding, in which it was stipulated that Scott would put $2,000 into a separate account each month that they were married, with a provision that the amount would increase by seven percent annually. Jamie claims Scott only made two deposits before his death.

But according to court documents obtained by The Blast, Jamie’s creditor’s claim against the estate has now been denied. Scott’s second wife, Mary Forsberg, who is also the head of the estate, had previously argued that Jamie did not file the paperwork properly and her claim had since lapsed.

Weiland was found dead on his tour bus at the age of 48 from a toxic mix of drugs and alcohol.
