Foo’s Chris Shiflett 3/25/19

Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett will release his fourth solo album, titled Hard Lessons, on June 14th. The 10-track LP includes the lead single “Welcome To Your First Heartache,” which is now streaming online. An immediate download of that song as well as a second cut, “This Ol’ World,” comes with each digital pre-order.

Shiflett said about the album, “I remember one night between Foo Fighters gigs last year I went out for dinner with (producer) Dave Cobb to chit chat about making this record . . . I think this record hits a little closer to mixing everywhere I’ve been musically into one big blender and comes out something a little different.”

Hard Lessons is Shiflett’s fourth solo album and follows up 2017’s widely praised West Coast Town. The guitarist plans to hit the road in North America this spring and summer. Foo Fighters are currently on a break until May.
