THE FRIBERG BROTHERS DID IN THE ALTOONA MT. LIONS LAST NIGHT. JOHNNY AND TOM FRIBERG EACH HIT A BASKET INSIDE OF 90 SECONDS LEFT TO LIFT STATE COLLEGE TO A 55-50 WIN OVER ALTOONA. THE BROTHERS COMBINED TO SCORE 30 POINTS FOR THE LITTLE LIONS, WHO PICKED UP THEIR 11TH WIN OF THE YEAR. P.J. CHARLES, NATE CHERRY AND TYLER ROBINSON COMBINED FOR 43 OF ALTOONA’s 50 POINTS.

 

THE STATE COLLEGE GIRLS ALSO SCORED A VICTORY OVER ALTOONA LAST NIGHT. THE LADY LITTLE LIONS HELD ALTOONA TO SINGLE DIGITS IN ALL 4 QUARTERS IN A 44-27 WIN AT HOME. ADALYN CHERRY LED ALTOONA WITH 10 POINTS. ALL 4 OF THESE TEAMS WILL MEET AGAIN, THE NEXT ROUND WILL BE FOR THE DISTRICT 6 CLASS 6A CHAMPIONSHIPS ON FEBRUARY 20TH IN HOLLIDAYSBURG.

 

THE HUNTINGDON BOYS TEAM CONTINUES TO CRUISE THROUGH THE REGULAR SEASON. THE BEARCATS RAN THEIR RECORD TO A PERFECT 17-0 BY DEFEATING CENTRAL LAST NIGHT 46-38. THE CATS CAME FROM BEHIND TO WIN, AFTER TRAILING BY 4 AT HALFTIME.
