3 PENN STATE FOOTBALL PLAYERS ARE LOOKING TO LEAVE THE PROGRAM, VIA THE TRANSFER PORTAL. MOST NOTABLE AMONG THE 3 IS LAMONT WADE, THE ALL STATE PLAYER FROM CLAIRTON. ALSO LOOKING TO LEAVE ARE WIDE RECEIVER BRANDON POLK AND CORNERBACK ZACH McPHEARSON. THE 3 SAY THEY WANT TO LEAVE BECAUSE OF A LACK OF PLAYING TIME. JUST AFTER THE CITRUS BOWL, 5 JUNIORS DECLARED FOR THE NFL DRAFT IN APRIL.

 

BISHOP CARROLL CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL HAS ITS GIRLS BASKETBALL COACH BACK. A REPORT OVER THE WEEKEND INDICATED THAT BOB GONGLOFF WAS RE-INSTATED TO THE POST AFTER HE WAS SUSPENDED FOR SEVERAL WEEKS AFTER HE WAS ACCUSED OF MENTAL ABUSE OF SOME OF HIS PLAYERS. GONGLOFF SAID THAT HE WILL COACH THE TEAM FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON.

 

PENN STATE CONTINUES TO BE HELD WINLESS IN THE BIG 10. THE LIONS WERE BEATEDN YESTERDAY AT HOME BY THE NUMBER 6 MICHIGAN STATE SPARTANS 71-56. WITH THE LOSS, THE LIONS FELL TO 7-10 ON THE SEASON, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY THEY ARE NOW 0-6 IN BIG 10 CONFERENCE PLAY. THE NKTS WILL TRY AGAIN ON SEDNESDAY WHEN THEY HOST IOWA.
