THE FALLOUT AT BISHOP CARROLL CATHOLIC CONTINUES OVER THE GIRLS BASKETBALL PROGRAM. AFTER JUST ONE GAME, INTERIM COACH AMY ORAVEC RESIGNED AS COACH OF THE TEAM. SHE WAS PUT IN CHARGE AFTER HER FATHER AND CURRENT HEAD COACH BOB GONGLOFF WAS PLACED ON LEAVE FROM HIS DUTIES. REPORTS ALSO SUGGEST THAT SEVERAL BISHOP CARROL PLAYERS FAILED TO SHOW UP FOR THEIR GAME AGAINST WESTMONT ON FRIDAY NIGHT. THE SCHOOL DID NOT COMMENT ON WHO IS NOW RUNNING THE VARSITY OR JV PROGRAMS.

HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL WILL TAKE A COUPLE DAYS OFF FOR THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY, BUT WILL PICK BACK UP ON WEDNESDAY WITH NUMEROUS TOURNAMENTS FOR BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS IN THE REGION.

MOST AREA COLLEGE TEAMS WILL RESUME WITH THEIR SCHEDULES ON THE WEEKEND.
