THE BISHOP GUILFOYLE BOYS ARE OFF TO A FAST START, WHILE THEIR TOP PLAYER IS OUT WITH INJURY. THE MARAUDERS TOOK CARE OF DIOCESAN RIVAL BISHOP CARROLL 55-39 LAST NIGHT. BG WAS LED BY KYLE RUGGERY AND MIKE MONTECALVO, EACH SCORING 14 POINTS, WHILE WILL HELTON 11 AND CASEY SMITH 10 ACCOUNTED FOR 50 OF BG’S 55 POINTS. THE MARAUDERS ARE NOW 4-0 ON THE SEASON.

 

THE LADY MARAUDERS DID NOT FARE AS WELL. BISHOP CARROLL JUMPED OUT TO AN 11-0 FIRST QUARTER LEAD AND BREEZED TO A 50-31 WIN IN EBENSBURG LAST NIGHT. THE LADY HUSKIES WERE LED BY KATE YAHNERS 19 POINTS, WHICH HELPED CARROLL IMPROVE TO 3-0 ON THE SEASON.

 

THE ALTOONA LADY LIONS WERE HELD TO JUST 2 POINTS IN THE 3RD QUARTER OF THEIR GAME AT CENTRAL DAUPHIN LAST NIGHT AND WOUND UP ON THE SHORT END OF A 49-38 DECISION. BRIGID FOX LED ALTOONA WITH 11 POINTS FOR THE LADY LIONS WHO ARE NOW 2-4 ON THE SEASON. THE ALTOONA MT. LIONS WERE ALSO DEFEATED AT HOME BY CENTRAL DAUPHIN 63-59.
