THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS LEFT OAKLAND SUNDAY NIGHT WITH A LOSS, AND A BAD TASTE IN THEIR MOUTHS. THE STEELERS COMPLAINED YESTERDAY THAT THE PLAYING SURFACE WAS BELOW PAR, AND WAS IN VERY POOR CONDITION. ALSO, THEY COMPLAINED THAT THE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT THAT THEY USED ON BEN ROETHLISBERGER WAS INADEQUATE, AND DID NOT GIVE THEM A VERY CLEAR PICTURE OF WHAT TYPE OF INJURY HE WAS SUFFERING FROM.

 

THE ALTOONA LADY LIONS PICKED UP THEIR FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON, BEATING CARLISE 65-24 ON THE ROAD. CARANDA PEREA LED ALTOONA WITH 20 POINTS. MEANWHILE, THE MT. LIONS LOST AN 8 POINT HALFTIME LEAD AND FELL TO CARLISE 51-41 AT THE FIELDHOUSE LAST NIGHT. THE MT. LIONS SCORED ONLY 11 POINTS IN THE SECOND HALF, JUST 2 IN THE 3RD QUARTER.
