The Late President’s Service Dog Has a New Assignment

In one of the more moving images since President George H.W. Bush’s passing Friday night, his service dog Sully was shown laying on the floor in front of 41st President’s casket in Houston, ahead of its Monday flight to The Capitol.
43rd President George W. Bush says, “As much as our family is going to miss this dog, we’re comforted to know he’ll bring the same joy to his new home, Walter Reed Hospital.”
Sully, a yellow lab, will be a “roving” dog in the program, providing support and comfort for wounded soldiers and their visitors.
