SEVERAL AREA HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES HAVE SIGNED LETTERS OF INTENT TO PLAY AT THE COLLEGIATE LEVEL. ALTOONA’s BRIGID FOX WILL HEAD TO DETROIT MERCY TO PLAY BASKETBALL. HOLLIDAYSBURG’s SAM SERVELLO SIGNED HIS LETTER OF INTENT TO PLAY BASEBALL AT WEST VIRGINIA.

 

2 ATHLETES FROM BISHOP GUILFOYLE ALSO SIGNED LETTERS OF INTENT YESTERDAY. LUKE RUGGERY WILL JOIN THE MENS BASKETBALL TEAM AT ST. FRANCIS, WHILE GABRIELLE KRUG WILL ALSO HEAD TO LORETTO TO JOIN THE ST. FRANCIS WOMENS VOLLEYBALL TEAM NEXT YEAR.

 

HOLLIDAYSBURG HIGH STANDOUT WRESTLER MASON McCREADY IS ALSO GOING TO THE NEXT LEVEL TO CONTINUE HIS ATHLETIC CAREER. McCREADY IS HEADED FOR BUCKNELL UNIVERSITY IN HOPES OF ONE DAY BECOMING A NATIONAL CHAMPION FOR THE BISON.

 

THE MOUNT ALOYSIUS MENS BASKETBALL TEAM WAS ROUTED LAST NIGHT BY ROBERT MORRIS 104-57. COLONIALS GUARD JOSH WILLIAMS TIED AN NCAA RECORD BY HITTING 15 3 POINT FIELD GOALS, ON HIS WAY TO A 49 POINT PERFORMANCE. JULIAN STOVER SCORED 26 POINTS FOR THE MOUNT, WHICH DROPPED TO 0-2 ON THE SEASON.
