DEPENDING ON WHICH POLL YOU LOOK AT, PENN STATE MOVED UP 1 OR 2 SPOTS IN THE WEEKLY RANKINGS. PENN STATE IS NOW 16TH IN THE COACHES WEEKLY TOP 25 POLL, WHILE THEY ARE 17TH IN THE AP WEEKLY POLL. PENN STATE PLAYS IOWA THIS SATURDAY AT BEAVER STADIUM. OHIO STATE DROPPED TO 11TH IN THE AP POLL, AND 9TH IN THE COACHES POLL AFTER GETTING ROLLED BY PURDUE 49-20.

 

THE TOP 10 SAW A BIT OF MOVEMENT AFTER SATURDAYS GAMES. ALABAMA IS THE UNAMIMOUS NUMBER 1 TEAM IN THE NATION. CLEMSON, NOTRE DAME, LSU AND MICHIGAN ARE NOW 2-5, AND ALL MOVED UP AT KLEAST ONE SPOT FOLLOWING OHIO STATES LOSS.

 

FORMER PENN STATE WERESTLER DAVE TAYLOR CAN NOW CALL HIMSELF A WORLD CHAMPION. TAYLOR CAPTURED THE TITLE IN A TOURNAMENT IN BUDAPEST HUNGARY OVER THE WEEKEND. TAYLOR WAS A 2 TIME NCAA CHAMP FOR THE NITTANY LIONS.
