A PENN STATE BASKETBALL PLAYER IS IN TROUBLE WITH THE LAW YET AGAIN. PUBLISHED REPORTS INDICATE THAT MIKE WATKINS WAS INVOLVED IN AN INCIDENT LAST MONTH WHERE HE ALLEGEDLY CUT IN LINE AT A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT, AND PUNCHED A PATRON IN THE FACE WHO OBJECTED. WATKINS HAS BEEN ARRESTED 3 TIMES IN THE PAST 2 YEARS FOR CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, DISORDERLY CONDUCT AND POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHENLIA. HEAD COACH PAT CHAMBERS TOLD REPORTERS TO LET THE SYSTEM PLAY OUT AND GIVE THE KID A BREAK.

ONE OF 2 UNBEATEN TEAMS LEFT IN THE REGION WILL BE HERE IN ALTOONA TONIGHT. CHESTNUT RIDGE BRINGS THEIR 8-0 RECORD TO MANSION PARK TO TANGLE WITH BISHOP GUILFOYLE, IN A KEY LAUREL HIGHLANDS CONFERENCE MATCHUIP. THE MARAUDERS WILL TRY AND STOP A 2 GAME LOSING STREAK, SOMETHING THEY HAVE NOT HAD TO DO SINCE THE 2012 SEASON. ALSO CLEARFIELD WILL PUT ITS 8-0 RECORD ON THE LINE WNEH THEY TAKE ON PHILIPSBURG OSCEOLA.

 

ALTOONA AND STATE COLLEGE WILL RENWEW THEIR RIVALRY TONIGHT WHEN THE 2 TEAMS WILL SQUARE OFF AT MEMORIAL FIELD. THE TEAMS HAVE NOT PLAYED EACH OTHER SINCE THE 2007 SEASON. ALTOONA NEEDS A WIN TO KEEP THEIR SLIM PLAYOFF HOPES ALIVE IN DISTRICT 6 CLASS 6A. ALSO, BELLWOOD AND TUSSEY MT WILL FACE EACH OTHER TONIGHT IN BELLWOOD. THE WINNER WILL HAVE A LEG UP ON THE INTERCOUNTY CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP.
