IT WAS NOT A GOOD WEEKEND FOR LOCAL COLLEGE FOOTBALL TEAMS. THE ST. FRANCIS RED FLASH LOST A SHOOTOUT WITH ALBANY 35-28. QB BEAR FENIMORE THREW FOR 286 YARDS AND 3 TOUCHDOWNS FOR THE FLASH. ST. FRANCIS IS NOW 1-3 ON THE SEASON. MEANWHILE, THE JUNIATA COLLEGE EAGLES WERE HAMMERED BY MUHLENBERG 62-7 ON SATURDAY. THE GAME WAS TIED AT 7 IN THE SECOND QUARTER, BUT MUHLENBERG SCORED THE NEXT 55 POINTS TO RUN AWAY WITH THE WIN. THE EAGLES ONLY SCORE CAME ON A TIM GRAHAM TOUCHDOWN PASS TO SHAHEED ROSS. THE EAGLES ARE 0-4 IN 2018.

 

THINGS ARE GONG MUCH BETTER FOR IUP. THE CRIMSON HAWKS WON THEIR 4TH GAME IN A ROW, BEATING MERCYHURST 34-7 SATURDAY NIGHT AT MILLER STADIUM. IUP IS CURRENTLY RANKED NUMBER 3 IN THE COUNTRY IN THE DIVISION II FOOTBALL COACHES RANKINGS.

 

THE FINAL NUMBERS ARE IN FOR THE PITTSBURGH PIRATES 2018 ATTENDANCE, AND THEY ARE NOT GOOD. THE FINAL NUMBER STANDS AT 1,444,693, WHICH IS DOWN NEARLY 500,000 FROM 1,919,447 FROM A YEAR AGO, AND DOWN MORE THAN 800,000 FROM 2016’S ATTENDANCE OF 2,249,201.
