PENN STATE IS GOING TO FACE A VERY HUNGRY TEAM ON SATURDAY. KENT STATE, THIS WEEKS OPPONENT, IS SEEKING ITS FIRST ROAD WIN SINCE THE 2016 SEASON. THE GOLDEN FLASHES ARE 1-1 SO FAR THIS SEASON, BUT THAT WIN CAME AT HOME. KENT STATE PLAYED AT BEAVER STADIUM 2 YEARS AGO, AND LOST. TO COMPOUND KENT STATE’S PROBLEM, PENN STATE HAS WON ITS LAST 14 HOME GAMES. KICKOFF IS SET FOR NOON SATURDAY.

YESTERDAY, THE STEADY RAINS TOOK ITS TOL ON THE FALL SPORTS SCHEDULES FOR HIGH SCHOOLS. 16 JUNIOR VARSITY FOOTBALL GAMES WERE CANCELED OR POSTPONED, ALONG WITH 18 BOYS AND GIRLS SOCCER GAMES. MORE SOCCER GAMES ARE SCHEDULED TODAY.

PITT HAS ANNOUNCED THAT ITS SEPTEMBER 22ND GAME AT NORTH CAROLINA WILL KICKOFF AT 12:20. THE GAME CAN BE SEEN ON THE ACC SPORTS NETWORK, AND ON WTAE-TV IN PITTSBURGH.
