Well, no matter HOW angry you’ve made your wife lately, at least you aren’t this guy.
A husband and wife were sailing from Newport, Rhode Island to East Greenwich, Rhode Island on their 39-foot sailboat on Friday afternoon. And at some point the woman FELL OVERBOARD.
She managed to swim to an island, and the Coast Guard rescued her around 4:00 A.M. on Saturday.
Why did it take them so long? It’s because her husband DIDN’T REALIZE she was gone. He thought she’d just been below deck the whole time . . . and he didn’t figure out she was missing until he stopped sailing around 2:00 A.M.
The woman had mild hypothermia . . . from being in the water, not the cold-blooded anger that was coursing through her veins for the half a day she was stranded on the island. She wound up refusing medical attention.
