THE ST. FRANCIS LADY RED FLASH ARE READY FOR THE NORTHEAST CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT. THE FLASH BEAT WAGNER 86-55 YESTERDAY TO CAP OFF A 16-2 CONFERNENCE SEASON, AND A 21-9 RECORD OVERALL. ST. FRANCIS FINISHED TIED WITH ROBERT MORRIS FOR THE TOP SPOT. THE 2 TEAMS WILL WAIT FOR THE NCAA TO DETERMINE WHO HAS THE BETTER RPI FOR THE TOP SEED. ST. FRANCIS CURRENTLY HAS A BETTER RANKING. BUT THE FINAL RANKING WILL NOT BE KNOWN UNTIL ALL NCAA GAMES ARE FINISHED.

 

THE LADY RED FLASH WILL OPEN UP CONFERENCE TOURNEY PLAY ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT AT HOME, PROBABLY AGAINST FAIRLEIGH DICKINSON AT THE STOKES COMPLEX AT 5:00 PM. IF THEY WIN, THEY WILL GET A SECOND TOURNEY GAME ON THURSDAY NIGHT AT 7:00 REGARDLESS OF THE RPI OUTCOME.

 

THE PITT PANTHERS HAVE ANOTHER CHANCE TO MAKE GOOD ON A TERRIBLE SEASON. THE PANTHERS WILL PLAY IN THE ACC TOURNEMENT WHICH BEGINS TOMORROW IN NEW YORK CITY. THE PANTHERS WILL TAKE ON NOTRE DAME AT 2:30. THE IRISH BEAT THE PANTHERS IN THE REGULAR SEASON FINALE LAST WEEK. PITT IS ON AN 18 GAME LOSING STREAK.
