THE PITT PANTHERS WILL TRY AND TAKE ANOTHER STEP TOWARD BECOMING BOWL ELIGIBLE TONIGHT. THE PANTHERS WILL HOST NORTH CAROLINA AT HEINZ FIELD FOR AN ACC MATCHUP AT 7:30. THE PANTHERS ARE 4-5 ON THE SEASON, AND NEED TO WIN 2 MORE GAMES TO BECOME ELIGIBLE FOR A POST SEASON BOWL BERTH. PITT FINISHES THE SEASON WITH VIRGINIA TECH AND MIAMI, TWO TOP 25 TEAMS.

 

A DISTRICT FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE DECIDED TONIGHT. IN A RARE THURSDAY MATCHUP, IT WILL BE NORTHERN BEDFORD TAKING ON WINDBER IN THE DISTRICT 5 CLASS 1A CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. KICKOFF IS SET FOR 7:00 AT SOMERSET HIGH SCHOOL. MORE PLAYOFF GAMES ARE SLATED FOR TOMORROW AND SATURDAY.

 

PENN STATE BASKETBALL HAS LANDED 2 RECRUITS FOR THE 2018-19 SEASON. RASIR BOLTON OF VIRGINIA, AND MYLES DREAD OF BALTIMORE HAVE SIGNED LETTERS OF INTENT TO ATTEND PENN STATE. BOTH ARE HIGH SCHOOL ALL STATE CALIBER PLAYERS, AND COACH PAT CHAMBERS SAYS THAT THEY WILL MAKE FINE ADDITIONS TO THE PENN STATE BASKETBALL PROGRAM..
