THE PENN STATE NITTANY LIONS ARE GOING TO NEED A LOT OF HELP IF THEY ARE TO GET TO THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF. THE LIONS ARE RANKED 7TH IN THE FIRST PLAYOFF RANKINGS THAT WERE RELEASED LAST NIGHT. OHIO STATE IS RANKED 6TH IN THE POLL. THE LIONS LIKELY WILL NOT GET TO THE BIG 10 CHAMPIONSHIP GAME UNLESS THE BUCKEYES LOSE 2 GAMES BETWEEN NOW AND THE END OF THE SEASON.

 

THE ALTOONA BOYS SOCCER TEAM IS A DISTRICT CHAMPION TODAY. THE LIONS DEFEATED STATE COLLEGE 1-0 LAST NIGHT AT BALD EAGLE AREA HIGH SCHOOL TO WIN THE 4A CHAMPIONSHIP. ALTOONA WILLMOVE ON TO THE PIAS TOURNEY THIS SATURDAY TO PLAY THE DISTRICT 10 CHAMPION.

 

STATE COLLEGE WON THE GIRLS DISTRICT 6 4A TITLE WITH A 1-0 VICTORY OVER ALTOONA ALSO AT BALE EAGLE. THE LADY LITTLE LIONS WILL ALSO MOVE ON TO THE PIAA TOURNAMENT LATER THIS WEEK.
