THE ALTOONA CURVE ARE CHAMPIONS TODAY. THE CURVE TOOK OUT THE TRENTON THUNDER 4-2 LAST NIGHT AT PNG FIELD TO SWEEP THE BEST OF 5 SERIES 3 GAMES TO NONE. THE CURVE WON THEIR SECOND TITLE IN FRANCHISE HISTORY BEFORE 3656 FANS.

 

ROOKIE PITCHER MITCH KELLER DELIVERED ANOTHER STELLAR PERFORMANCE. HE THREW 7 1/3 INNINGS, GIVING UP JUST 2 RUNS, WITH 8 STRIKEOUTS, AND WAS NAMED PLAYOFF MVP. CATCHER JINDA JONG CAME THROUGH WITH THE BIG HIT OF THE NIGHT, A BASES CLEARING TRIPLE IN THE 4 RUN 5TH INNING FOR THE CURVE, WHICH KELLER AND TWO RELIEF PITCHERS MADE STAND UP. TATE SCIONEAUX (PRONOUNCED C.N.O.) GOT THE SAVE FOR ALTOONA. THE CURVE FINISHED THE PLAYOFF SEASON WITH A PERFECT 6-0 RECORD.
