The ACM Nominees Are Led by Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, and Maren Morris

The ACM nominees were announced yesterday, andKeith Urban has more than anyone with seven.  Miranda Lambert and Maren Morris picked up six each, while Florida Georgia Line and Tim McGraw got five apiece.

Keith Urban and Florida Georgia Line are up for the coveted Entertainer of the Year award, along with Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Carrie Underwood.

If you’re looking for snubs, Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton were shut out.

That’s a surprise because Garth, as usual, sold tons of records and had a monster tour.  And Blake’s “If I’m Honest” album went to #1, as did two of its singles, “Came Here to Forget” and “A Guy With a Girl”.

And then there’s Sturgill Simpson:

“A Sailor’s Guide to Earth” didn’t make the cut for Album of the Year, even though it won Best Country Album at the Grammys.

CBS will air the “52nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards” on April 2nd.  Luke Bryan and DIERKS BENTLEY are returning to co-host for the second time.  (You can check out all the nominees, here.)
