“Zoolander 2” and “Batman v. Superman” Lead the Razzie Nominees

The Oscar nominees are out this morning, meaning that the RAZZIE nominees were announced yesterday.  Apparently, there were so many bad movies in 2016, they felt the need to expand from 5 entries per category to 6.

“Zoolander No. 2” and “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” tied with EIGHT nods apiece.

(Several sources say “Zoolander” had NINE, including the official Razzie website.  But their list only shows EIGHT.)

Both are up for Worst Picture, along with “Dirty Grandpa”, “Gods of Egypt”, “Hillary’s America”, and “Independence Day: Resurgence”.

BEN STILLER was recognized for starring in and directing “Zoolander”.  He’s also up for Worst Screen Combo with OWEN WILSONWILL FERRELL and KRISTEN WIIG also got nominations for “Zoolander”.

BEN AFFLECK and HENRY CAVILL are both up for Worst Actor for “Batman v. Superman” . . . and together, they’re contenders for Worst Screen Combo.

Last year, MEGAN FOX was up for Worst Supporting Actress for “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”.  This year, she’s nominated for Worst Actress for the sequel.  Her competition includes TYLER PERRY for “BOO! A Madea Halloween”.

The Razzies will be handed out Saturday, February 25 . . . the night before the Oscars.
