Twisted Sister Plays Final Show

That band that taught us it was tough and cool to wear ladies lingerie has called it a career.  The bombastic New Yawkers “Twisted Sister” after 40 years, thousands of shows, and millions of albums sold, will now, like so many others, Rush, Motley Crue, and Black Sabbath  retire from the rock and roll lifestyle.

I am honored to say that many years ago Jay Jay French sent me the band’s first release from their debut “Under The Blade”, back then on a small, import label, “Secret Records”, and kindly asked if I would give it a little airplay.  One listen and I was hooked!  Right then I became an “SMF”.

TS played their final show on November 12th in Monterrey with KISS,  Sepultura, and others during a festival, doing so with Michael Portnoy on drums, because original drummer A.J. Pero has of course passed away.

I watched their final song on-line, sat banging my head, enjoying every minute of it.  Thanks guys for a great 40 year ride!  You truly were one of my all-time favorites!
