THE ALTOONA CURVE STILL HAVE A SHOT AT A DIVISION TITLE. THE CURVE WON A WILD 9-7 GAME LAST NGIHT AT TRENTON, TAKING 2 OUT OF 3 IN THE SERIES. WITH THE WIN, ALTOONA PULLED TO WITHIN 3 GAMES OF FIRST PLACE IN THE WESTERN DIVISION.

THE THUNDER SCORED 5 RUNS AND HAD THE TYING RUN ON BASE WHEN MATT ECKELMAN FINALLY GOT THE LAST OUT. THE CURVE ARE A SEASON BEST 10 GAMES OVER .500. THE CURVE ARE BACK HOME TONIGHT TO BEGIN A 4 GAME SERIES AGAINST ERIE. PITCHER JAMES MARVEL WILL MAKE HIS CURVE DEBUT ON THE MOUND. FIRST PITCH IS SET FOR 7:00.

 

IT WILL BE ALTOONA vs JOHNSTOWN TONIGHT IN THE AAABA TOURNAMENT. ALTOONA BEAT BUFFALO 4-3 YESTERDAY TO MOVE TO THE SEMI-FINALS OF THE NATIONAL TOURNAMENT. ALTOONA WILL PLAY THE HOST TEAM, MARTELLA’S PHARMACY AT 7:00 AT POINT STADIUM. BOTH TEAMS ARE 4-0  WITH THE WINNER ADVANCING TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND TOMORROW.
